CARE FOR TRUTH – AGAINST FAKE NEWS AND ANTI-ROMA DISINFORMATION

In this book, the authors have tried to compact the bulk of what has been done under the Care for Truth project. The resource materials developed would be useful to all those who directly or indirectly deal with the topics of anti-Roma disinformation, fake news, safer internet.

An abbreviated format of the three handbooks for detecting and counteracting fake news and media manipulation, developed by the Applied Research and Communication Fund, is included – a basic version for a wider audience, another one for Roma leaders, activists and health mediators, and one more handbook, designed for teachers, which includes a methodology for developing critical thinking and tolerance in students, as well as sample lessons that can be applied in class.

The analyses, methodologies and resources published will help Roma activists in their specific work with the communities in dispelling rumors and false statements, often leading to additional auto-segregation.
