Project summary:
The complex integrated measures are aimed at improving access to education, healthcare and development of social skills for children aged 0-6 who do not attend and do not have access to kindergarten or nursery, live in isolated poor areas with a concentration of problems creating a risk of poverty, social exclusion and marginalization. The target groups of the project are children aged 0 to 6 years and their parents, as well as future parents from risk groups living in the municipality of Gorna Oryahovitsa. The planned activities include: Construction activities and delivery of equipment; Early childhood education activities, including early childhood development activities; Children’s health consultation and disease prevention; Social inclusion; Involving and activating the parents, forming parenting skills; Active community involvement; Sharing good practices; Hiring experts /pedagogues, mediators, psychologists, social workers, medical professionals, etc./; Information and publicity; Bilateral relations. The project activities will involve 320 children from vulnerable social groups, as well as 420 current and future parents from all settlements of Gorna Oryahovitsa municipality. Secondary target group are the service delivery team, municipal employees; Other persons involved in the activities of the hubs, including representatives of the community. The overall objective of the project is to contribute to improving the quality of life, social inclusion and early childhood development by supporting the creation and implementation of a community complex (hub) of functional services for children from vulnerable groups, including Roma communities. The specific objectives are to improve access to health care, to form parenting skills, to improve the family environment, to increase the school readiness of children for inclusion in the educational system; Engaging and activating families and the community to provide quality education and care in early childhood, through a series of consecutive interventions; formation of parenting skills, health care, social and life skills, as well as the development and education of children.
