PUBLICATION: Collection of practices for improving civic participation in seven Bulgarian municipalities

The initiative “Citizens’ Entry” of the Citizen Participation Forum in partnership with the Bulgarian Center for Not-for-Profit Law aims to improve public consultations in municipalities and support citizen participation at local level.

With the support of the Active Citizens Fund Bulgaria, a civic participation assessment was carried out in all seven partner municipalities: in Vratsa, Lovech, Karlovo, Kardzhali, Montana and Targovishte in 2021 and in Sofia Municipality in 2022. In parallel, in 2021, the Index survey was carried out in the municipalities of Ruse and Burgas, as well as at national level. This collection is dedicated to the efforts of more than 10 civic organizations, hundreds of citizens and seven municipal administrations to improve each other’s access roads and build bridges instead of barriers between them.
